Newest Afghan for a Friend

I just finished another afghan!  A pretty large one for my friend and business partner.  He had a serious car accident almost three months ago and was on life support along with 15 or more IV's.  I have been visiting him regularly since the accident and he is now off of the trache and talking and breathing better.  He hasnt eaten since the accident although the doctor just ok'd him to drink XanGo much to his relief!  His biggest complaint has been "I'M FREEZING" so this one is for him.  Hopefully he will be  much cozier.  Wish him well in your prayers tonight.  Later, Alana     oh ya what do you think about my new name tag!

Becoming a Blanketeer!

I have just discovered this amazing charity......PROJECT LINUS.

It is an organization that recruits volunteers or blanketeers to make, totally by hand, blankets, quilts or afghans for terminally ill children and adults or those who are seriously traumatized or in need of comfort.

Since its beginning in 1995 they have donated over 2 million blankets!!!

So I have picked up my crochet hook again and have begun 8 different afghans!  Some for adults and some for children.  I have gotten to where I can complete a baby afghan in a weekend!  So if you have time on your hands.....check it out there are hundreds of chapters all over the United States and they can always use your help.  Check out the peach one I just completed... its soooo soft.
